Understanding The Media Is Vital To Modern Life.

Media Homework:
Understanding The Media Is Vital To Modern Life.
Media is information about everyday lives publicised to the whole world. Also media is about advertising products around the world.  In other words, media is just another way of getting information around the world so that people will know things ASAP.
In the modern society now people use all types of different media to get these sources of information around. One great source of media is the internet. The internet plays a vital part in our everyday lives. About 50 odd years ago, you could only have access to the internet using the computer & the computer only. However, technology has improved vastly in the last couple of years to the extent where we now have phones, tabloids and even game consoles that allow us to have access to this new world called the internet. Using the internet provides many opportunities to sit at home and get daily chores done. For example; we now have internet shopping, so any clothes, shoes, food, pets, hair and even furniture that we have wanted to get, we can now get online and every store has their own internet website. We order online and get a delivery ASAP. This saves time and energy for most people. As well as buying things online, the internet has become such a great source of communication for everyone. Sites like Facebook, Twitter, and Bebo, allow people to interact with one another. Also it makes it easier to get in contact with somebody you have not had contact with in a while.
Another way of displaying media is aurally/Visually. This is things like television, radio, magazines, newspapers, leaflets and billboards etc. This promotes people to look at things about the world visually and hear things about the world aurally. For example; when buying something new like trousers, people tend to look at magazines of celebrities etc. To see what is the latest trend and to see what goes & what does not. Often in newspapers, the news about the world is displayed so that everybody can know what is going on in the world. Firms also put advertisements about job offers so that applicants can know more about available jobs.
This is why the media is so important to everyday society. It all forms one big whole base of communication throughout the world. Making it more simple and idealistic for everyone to use.
